Two
weeks left until the Dairyland Classic Presented by Revolution
Performance hits the Sheboygan Coutny Fair Park in Plymouth!
Ticket outlets report good response so far - and we've added a new
ticket
outlet at House of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee. If you haven't gotten
your tickets yet (they cost less in advance!) check out our ticket
outlets
at www.dairylandclassic.com/timetable.
We welcome a new sponsor this week: Advanced Landspeed of Plymouth (and
soon to also be of Sheboygan). They are your one-stop shop for
motorcycles, ATVS, scooters, and accessories. They are right off Hwy 57
in Plymouth. It's always great to have local sponsors on board!
It's been a busy week for me on the rider entry end as well. The
National
Series has been on hiatus since March (where Dairyland Classic regulars
won boht nights), but the series picks up again in earnest next weekend
in
Springfield, Illinois, with the TT on Saturday and The Mile on Sunday.
Our local National star JR Schnabel will be going for his sixth
straight
win at the Springfield TT/ST arena on his factory Yamaha YZ450F. We
wish
him luck as he chases his first professional National Championship.
I learned just yesterday that National veteran Mike Hacker #67 will be
making his first-ever appearance at the Dairyland Classic. In the past
two weeks, I have personally confirmed the entries of National
Championship points leader and factory Honda rider Bryan Smith #42,
factory Suzuki team members Jakes Johnson #14, Kevin Varnes #89, and
Bryan
Bigelow #11, former Dairyland Classic champ Kenny Coolbeth #31, former
National Champ Joe Kopp #3, the Yamaha factory team of JR Schnabel #33
and
Rob Pearson #27, and Jared Mees #21. I even got a call from the
"only pro
flat tracker in Arizona" who said he's coming as well.
Smith told me "we had a good time last year, and we're looking
forward to
it. Hopefully I'll still be leading the National point standings when I
see you".
Johnson said "both Kevin (Varnes) and I had a great time last
year, the
track was nice, the crowd was great, we're definintely going to be
there".
Coolbeth: "We're definitely going to be there, and I think almost
everyone
else will be too - don't worry about that".
Pearson: "I'm bummed that I missed the race last year (broken
leg). But
I'm planning on taking all the money this year".
Mees: "The track was awesome last year, you had a huge crowd, and
it was
just like a National".
We've got our radio advertising finalzied, and our spots will be heard
on
WXER (104.5FM) in Sheboygan Falls, WHBZ (106.5FM) in Sheboygan, and
WBWI
(92.5FM) in West Bend. So turn your office radios on to those stations!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call or email me. I look
forward to seeing each and every one of you - plus some others - on
Friday
June 2 at the Sheboygan County Fair Park in Plymouth for the Dairyland
Classic Presented by Revolution Performance and Brought to you by
Suburban
Motors H-D, Amsoil, Swendson Motorsports, and Budweiser.
Take a moment to thank all our sponsors, for without them, we would not
be
able to present Wisconsin's premier flat track motorcycle racing event!
