Flattrack.Com catches
up with Shaun Russell and his 2006 plans
As
we all know the costs to be competitive throughout the season are high. I
have been busy sorting out sponsors, and hopefully keeping all of the people
involved in my '05 program, going for the '06 season. I have also been
trying to find new sponsors. What a job that can be.
After the
last race last year, I was able to stay busy racing. I raced a short track
in Canada, Wisconsin, and Two in California. I also raced a three hour Hair
Scramble, with Johnny Murphree. We teamed up to ride that, and almost won. I
think it was my fault we finished second.
At this time the holidays are over, and it's getting close to the
start of the season. I have just been training a bit getting ready
physically and mentally for the year. I have also committed to do an Ice
racing series throughout the winter. So far there has been three races and
I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's going to turn out to be a ten to
twelve race series. They are indoors on Hockey rings, so it's pretty tight.
The start means a lot. My results so far are a second, third, and a fourth.
I need to improve a bit and get some wins going.
The entire staff here at Flattrack.Com wish you and the
your entire team the best of luck in 2006. We think this is the year you win
that first National. Go get em
