 USA Speedway Inc. Recognized as AMA Competition Affiliate
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The venerable sport of motorcycle Speedway racing in America will have a fresh look and structure in 2006 following the establishment of USA Speedway Inc., a new organization recognized as the exclusive Speedway Affiliate of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). Details
AMA Pro Racing confirmed today that Merrill Vanderslice has resigned from his position of Vice President, Director of Competition. 
AMA Pro Racing announced today that the AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track Championship GNC Twins round scheduled for May 20 at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., has been removed from the schedule due to a date conflict with the promoter.

AHRMA Peoria and Galesburg Nationals Confirmed
The two Metro Racing dirt track nationals that have been listed as "TBA" have now been confirmed. The short track at Galesburg, Ill., will take place Saturday night, Sept. 30, followed the next day (Oct. 1) by the TT at the legendary Peoria Motorcycle Club in Peoria, Ill. It will make a great doubleheader weekend to wrap up this year's national series.

Lexus of Cherry Hill and Tom Norton are putting up $1000.00 to the winner of each nights national shorttrack at Daytona for 2006. For the past several years, "Nort" has contributed $1000.00 to the winner, and this year he "doubled the cash" since there are two nationals. Tom's only comment was "I hope there aren't three" for 2007....
